Card Scale Balance
Can you maintain equilibrium of the scale balance?
Developed for the Kenney Jam 2026. First game ever after installing Unity 3 weeks ago...

How to Play
Select cards from your hand and place them on the scale balance. But be careful - where you place them affects the balance of the scale, depending on the cards value and its distance from the middle of the scale!
Tips
- Score more points for bigger cards placed further away from the middle of the scale.
- Use the "net moment" indicator for a quick reference for computing the total sum of cards on each side. Balanced => 0. Positive => rotating to the right. Negative => rotating to the left.

- Be careful of waiting too long with the scale unbalanced; momentum will build!
Footnotes
Had some ideas to extend scoring system & strategy using the card suites but ran out of time.

i am not a fan of card games and could not figure out how to score properly.
best i got was 230
i got to say i did enjoyed it.
Glad you were able to enjoy it, despite not liking card games! Yeah the scoring is a little bit of a black box. I think one of the improvements I would make is to provide feedback to the user when they place the card on how many points they score, based on the card value * distance from centre.
I scored 247. Cosy game whilst providing a decent mathematical challenge. Also stuck to the theme. Amazing that you achieved this with only 3 weeks experience, well done!
Thank you for your comment! I appreciate the feedback :)
My high score: 289
